Apple is the Winner: ATT - Not so Much …

The iPhone introduction went well - or not - depending upon your location: Apple store or local ATT store. The “out of Box Experience” apparently went well ( as with almost every Apple product) - but the big stumbling block, regardless of the source, seemed to be the activation process.

It’s not clear if this is an ATT problem or an iTunes / Apple issue - but if it does not get corrected quickly that is the sort of thing that can spoil the party for months to come.

Reportedly, over half a million were sold - not a bad day’s work from the ATT perspective, but as the Ars Technica article said ATT should not get too comfortable. This morning’s NPR reported that the biggest lines were those who wanted to see the iPhone. Not those who wanted to buy.
